The Big Canoe Property Owners Association ( www.bigcanoepoa.org ) owns and oversees all of the roads, amenities, and commonly owned property in Big Canoe. This includes the nearly 90 miles of paved roads, golf course and clubhouse, tennis courts and pro shop, Fitness Center, three lakes, marina, swim club and pool, and fire and rescue houses and equipment.

2010 Owner Assessments - (Mandatory - One or the other paid by all owners)

  • Homeowner: $202.00 per month (No initiation)
  • Property Owner: $132.00 per month (No initiation)

NOTE: A special assessment for amenity replacements and upgrades was approved by Big Canoe property owners on December 7, 2005. The special assessment is $1,500 for a lot with dwelling, and $975 for a lot. The assessment will be billed on a monthly cycle at a rate of $25 for a lot with dwelling and $16.25 for a lot, through 2010. Should you sell your property during the five-year period, the balance that is due will be the responsibility of the new owner.
